Total Gym 1600 Review
Today I’m here to give you my Total Gym 1600 review with all the required information which will help you decide if this is the right piece of equipment for your home. If you are not familiar with the Total Gym brand then you should know that it’s an equipment that uses your own body weight to workout. While it’s a very simple workout piece of equipment there is no denying that it works just by using it 10 to 20 minutes a day. You will be able to complete 6o different exercises that can be used from beginners to advance level.
How Does The Total Gym 1600 Work ?
The Total Gym 1600 works with body resistance and can resist users of up to 250 pounds. There are different levels of difficulty which can be altered by changing the platforms. You can start with as low as 3% of your body weight which just about anyone can do but you will probably start at a higher percentage.
If you are unfamiliar with the Total Gyms then this would be a good video for you to watch directly from them.
The Total Gym 1600 comes with some accessories.
- Dip bars
- Press up bars
- Leg pulleys
- Squat stand
The Dip bars and press up bars will help you target a wide variety of muscles such as your pectorals, chest , shoulders , and triceps. The Multi-Function Attachment allows you perform leg curls, pull ups, and shoulder presses as well.
The Leg Pulley provides you work and stretches your leg muscles including hamstrings and inner thighs. There’s also a Squat Stand which I personally enjoy because i’m a fanatic of the squat exercise since it’s a whole body movement and helps you tone up. All the parts of the Total Gym 1600 are easy to assemble and shouldn’t really take much time.
It comes with an Exercise Flip Chart which you should follow to do the recommend exercises. It’s very easy to show get on this Total Gym and do a bunch of exercises but following the flip chart would be in your best benefit. Here below are some specifications of the product.
- Product Dimensions: 92.5 x 16 x 43.2 inches
- Weighs 73.4 pounds
Honestly, there aren’t many negative reviews online about the Total Gym 1600 which shows that you are getting a good quality home piece of equipment. The only real complaints I found were when people were surprised that they had to assemble it themselves but it was rather easy.
Take a look at some of the customer reviews on amazon.
My Conclusion On The Total Gym 1600
If you are looking for an equipment that will get the job done but isn’t too expensive then the 1600 will be ideal for you. If you weigh over 250 pounds then I would suggest taking a look at some of the other home gyms.
I personally enjoyed using the total gym 1600 a whole lot but if you want a better total gym in general with more advance features then you might want to take a look at the 1900. I jus feel like the total gym 1600 might be for more casual use instead for everyday but this is just my opinion.
